Aquaterro and APT to assist Theon Sensors to supply Australian Defence Market

Australian Industry Minister, The Hon. Ian Macfarlane MP, and Federal Member for Latrobe, Jason Wood, recently visited APT Engineering. They spoke with APT’s Business Director, Ron Wienzierl, and CEO of Aquaterro, Graeme Bulte, regarding their partnership to work with Theon Sensors to supply night vision technology to the Australian Defence Market. Theon Sensors are Greek global market leaders in night vision systems for military and security applications. The agreement will see the first products to be completed at Aquaterro’s facilities, where APT Engineering will produce the key components.

“Aquaterro welcomes the support and commitment to industry development shown by Jason Wood MP and Minister Macfarlane” and if successful with other projects for which they have been shortlisted, “intends to provide more manufacturing opportunities through these contracts through its key supply partners, such as APT Engineering”. Graeme Bulte states “our success will only happen through the support of the community, local advanced manufacturing industry and government”.

With support from government and the local advanced manufacturing industry, the result will see an increase in jobs and growth in investment and development – all of which will contribute to grow future business opportunities in the defence industry export business.
